Chicago, IL

Chicagoooo, Chicagooo

My first time ever in the Windy City. Never been a huge fan as Columbus solos as the greatest city in the Midwest but you still have to go. Heard this place is hella segregated...yeah, it is. Still some things are cool, just know Columbus is always better.

Caught a Cubs game at Wrigley Field. They played the Angels so obviously won. Wore their City Connects which weren't too pretty.

Got a Chicago dog at Wrigley- in a way. They had a sort of self-serve toppings thing going on and I didn't know for sure what belonged on a Chicago dog. I opted to just put things I know are on it that I like. So just a pickle spear, mustard, and onions. I thought it was good but the pickle was too big even though I got the smallest one I saw. Need to get a more authentic one next time around.

Went to the bean of course. Not much else to say besides that.
The river cruise architecture tour was cool. I would recommend. Felt a bit long, kind of wanted the thing to go faster. I will admit the riverwalk is pretty damn cool.
Some cool looking apartments or something
Building is like a V at the bottom or something idek looked cool.

Nice view of downtown from the Lincoln Park Zoo. It's free so go, but kind of out of the way and not really a great Zoo- not much there and a lot of the animals aren't out. Still go because it's free.
View from my hotel at night.
Obviously got some deep dish at Pequod's. Was told this place was from The Bear but I've never watched- sorry. I got a small personal pizza so I didn't get too full but I just remember burning my mouth on this mothafucka. It was good but also wasn't cut so I don't remember how I even ate it. Probably not the most traditional deep dish in Chicago but I can cross it off my list.
Needed to get some nicer Italian. Basic vodka pasta but it was good. Very small serving size tho.
Popped out to Chinatown. Very touristy. Went to B.B.Q. King for some Peking Duck. It was technically the House Special Pi Pa Duck but I think it is very similar. It was great and the sauce it came with was good. Some parts of the duck had almost no edible parts but still split between two people it was enough food.
The owner met Obama.

Shoutout to Bruce Lee

A nice steak with hollandaise sauce from Gibson's. It had a cool environment in there but I think my food was just solid- not amazing. I say that because I think this place is pretty well-known and fancy.
At The Original Pancake House across from our hotel we saw Mason Plumlee.

Shoutout to Chicago natives Lucki, Obama, and Marco Bloemendaal
